Basic bliss balls
13 – 14 medjool dates (pips removed)
2 cups desiccated coconut
½ tsp vanilla bean paste or 1 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Blitz in food processor until combined. Process for a bit longer than you think necessary as it makes the texture nicer.
Roll into balls and roll in extra desiccated coconut to coat.
Store in the freezer
Optional: 2 tablespoons cacao for a chocolate flavour. You might need to add in another date or a splash of coconut oil if they are too dry.
Chocolate seed bliss balls
10 – 12 medjool dates (pips removed)
1/2 cup desiccated coconut (preservative free)
1/2 cup mixed seeds – pepitas, sunflower, hemp, chia, golden flax – use whatever combination you like.
1 tablespoon coconut butter (you can leave this out if you don’t have any but it is makes them so good)
1 tablespoon goji berries or dried blueberries
2 tablespoons raw cacao
1/2 teaspoon vanilla powder
pinch sea salt
Desiccated coconut for rolling (optional)
1 – 2 teaspoons coconut oil
1 tablespoon Vital Veggie Powder
Mix in food processor until the mixture comes together (3 – 5 minutes)
Taste the mixture and adjust flavours to your liking.
Roll into balls and then into coconut to coat. These area also great without the coconut.
Store in the fridge or freezer.
